Née à Montréal en 1957, Denyse Brault a toujours été fascinée par le monde
des arts. En 1977, elle a obtenu un D.E.C. en Arts-plastiques au C.E.G.E.P.
Lionel-Groulx de Ste-Thérèse puis un BAC en enseignement des arts-visuels à l’Université Laval à Québec en 1980.

Durant huit années, Mme Brault a pratiqué l’enseignement des arts-plastiques à de merveilleux jeunes du sec. 1 au sec.IV. dans plusieurs régions du Québec.

Constatant les bienfaits des arts sur le comportement des jeunes en difficultés, elle a réorienté sa carrière pour se spécialisée comme psychologue auprès des jeunes et depuis 1994, elle utilise le jeu et les arts pour les aider à guérir et à cheminer vers une plus grande harmonie intérieure.

Toutefois, tout au long de ces années, Denyse Brault a toujours continué à créer avec beaucoup d’enthousiasme. Elle a exploré différents médiums dont la peinture sur soie, la photographie, l’aquarelle, l’acrylique et le bâton à l’huile. Sa passion est de plus en plus grande pour la peinture et maintenant Mme Brault consacre un
mi-temps pour sa pratique privée et un mi-temps pour la peinture.

Born in Montréal in 1957, Denyse Brault has always been involved in the world of art. After obtaining a college diploma in visual arts, she earned a bachelor’s degree in art education at Laval University. Following her studies, Ms Brault worked as an art teacher for 8 years before reorienting her career. Now, as a psychologist, she uses her art as a therapeutic tool in her work with her clients. However, through the years, Denyse Brault has always continued to create art works on silk or on paper. For some time now, her favoured medium has been watercolor, which permits her to express the pleasure and the movement of life. She explores these themes through colour and line, with the goal of rendering them increasingly spontaneous. Plant life remains the primary source of her artistic inpiration. Ms Brault continues to perfect her technique by participatiing in workshops given by such reputed watercolorists as Nicole Foreman and Josée Perrault. Since moving to Magog, she has participated in a number of exibitions in the Eastern Townships. Her work have been shown on several occasions at the Galerie Artazo in Sherbrooke and Place des Artistes in Magog. She has also participated in the 13th and 6th edition of the
Visa Art 2005-1998 and in the Symposium du Jardin Marisol in Bromont in the summer 1998. During this first participation in the Symposium, the jury awarded her an Honorable Mention for the technical quality of her work. Since 1999, she has participated in the Cicuit des Arts Memphrémagog, where she exibits her work in
her studio.
